Description
One day, I - a high schooler - found a paperback in the hospital. The "Infirmity Novel" was its title. It was a diary that Sakura Yamauchi, a classmate of mine, was writing in secret. Inside, it was written that due to her pancreatic disease, her days were numbered. And thus, I coincidentally went from "just a classmate" to a "secret-knowing classmate". It felt like I was being drawn to her, who was my polar opposite.
However, the world presented the girl that was already suffering from an illness with an equally cruel reality...

Great manga. Excellent pace of the story, no drags or lulls in it, male lead is a bit on the colder and remote side, appears emotionless and exists in an escapist state by only engaging with books. Female lead is vibrant and loves life and spreads joy everywhere and thanks to her the unlikely friendship begins.
Unlikely friendships are fun to read about because of the vast difference in experience comes into a clash and both parties or at least one is better off and learns important things. Ending is interesting and abrupt like life can be and the lesson learned from it if any is good.

Enjoyed this immensely.
It's actually very light and playful up until a point. It's definitely up there with Kimi no na wa and The girl who leapt through time. The ending will not end how you expect even with some visible signs throughout of the possibilities. That being said it somehow makes things even more realistic.
