Pretty good, but goes downhill after chapter 79...

Art: 8.5/10. I love the cute dress designs. While they are obviously too cutesy to truly resemble aristocratic european fashion, I loved the colorful flare in this manga's fashion that helped cement the fantasy vibe. The character designs are also unique from each other, with good facial expressions from start to finish.

Plot: 5/10 Modern girl transmigrating into fantasy isekai world and ending up with royalty is a saturated trope that might as well be its own genre. The romance is cute and wholesome, but kicked off too quick. The plot twists often aren't very realistic or satisfying. Arcs are dragged on longer than necessary, boring the readers.

Characters: 6/10. I really enjoyed the FL's development from a normal high schooler to a seasoned, calculating woman capable of surviving in the royal court. The story points out how she gradually becomes desensitized to the deaths and scandals, and how she becomes more like her romantic partner as time goes on. Similarly, I enjoyed the ML's development, although his story was a lot more cheesy and predictable. I wish his characterization was more nuanced beyond cold-hearted-dude-with-tragic-backstory.

Writing: 6/10 The author adequately brought his scenes to life with lively dialogue and an abundance of snark, but all of this goes downhill 2/3 through the series...Everyones' characteristics get kind of dumb after ch. 75, and the story just becomes mushy/cheesy lovers doting over each other endlessly. The climax of the story was kind of unsatisfying, and the villain seemed way too cunning/strong to have been defeated so easily. Just ... anticlimatic and disappointing.

Overall, I liked this series up until

the final showdown between the greedy empress dowager and the MC. That was when the story got too lazy and resolved it without fleshing it out. After that, the next 50 chapters were boring, pointless arcs that dragged on with no real character development. We didn't get to see the two main characters struggle with being a new parent while having to rule an empire, nor did we see details of the side characters' lives. It just felt empty and overly sweet. Utterly pointless.
So yeah, story was good, but the ending was too lazy and the side stories were boring.

The story wasn’t that deep & it was rather difficult to get into in the beginning & though the art is pretty, it’s nothing special or unique. However, the execution was pretty good & overall I liked it.

Simple and Sweet

This was a very simple story to read. It was easy to follow along and there weren’t any deep messages or alternate meanings behind every word and/ or action; this story did not play with my emotions. The romantic development between Bina and Luke was extremely cute. The one thing I did not like about it is how Bina’s past was not clearly explained in the beginning chapters so it seemed like it was unimportant and it also seemed like Bina’s past did not matter to her (when it actually played a big role in her life). The art was amazing and I would definitely recommend!

The overall story had its charming points with good pacing and I think the very last few chapters of the epilogue especially did a really great job of wrapping up the story well. It was a very balanced manhwa with plenty of ups and downs, clever schemes, and strong emotions while providing relatively clear resolutions.

The biggest issue for me about the work was the characters themselves. Although I liked the female lead quite a bit the male lead felt lackluster. There were plenty of emotionally wrenching monologues from both sides but I feel as though the ML could’ve been flushed out a lot better. Quite often I felt there were characters who had the potential to be much more complex than they were. The antagonists especially were boringly flat who seemed to be evil for no real good reason. There were many attempts to humanize them a little but most of their rationale for behavior seemed like a stretch and made it difficult to even sympathize with them. Their characters weren’t built up, they were just flat with a single random scene tossed in to make them seem more complex.

Despite the writing of the side characters, the plot is quite interesting and there are plenty of heartwarming moments that called me single in every way possible. What this manhwa did best was express the thoughts and feelings of being in love. While I wasn’t entirely amazed by it, it was still a very satisfying read and would recommend it if you have some time to kill.

You shouldn't believe the description. It has a few chapters about court intrigue but most of the time it is about the everyday life of the mc and the love interest. So you should be prepared to read a cliched and sweet romance story.
It isn't for everyone and I think there are a lot of people sharing the opinion of ohkimch.
You should read it till the end even though it is 129 chapters long. It is a good and not rushed end unlike most of these kind of storys.

It was promising at first. The female lead was very aware of how dangerous and frightening the male lead could be, and just as aware of her precarious situation. Her coolheadedness and strong desire to survive, no matter what, was admirable. The strength of will she showed at the beginning was impressive.

Further, she was determined to avoid falling in love with Lucretius, the male lead, despite his status/power/wealth and extremely good looks. I actually really appreciated how she remained aware of how scary this man was, while acknowledging his charm and A+ aesthetics.

Unfortunately, once he fell in love with her and decided he wanted her, nothing else mattered. The 20 year old succumbed easily to the experienced older man’s manipulations. Aside for the gore & human executions, possibly the most disturbing scene was the one in which the author gave us a glimpse into the male lead’s psyche. It was rlly disconcerting to read him assuring himself she would be his eventually, while thinking of all the steps he’d go through to get Bina to slowly trust him and fall for him.

It was also very disappointing to see her grow to rely on him more and more, even as she berated herself & fought to focus on her original goal of getting back home to her family. A goal, by the way, that she was honest to him about, but that he was offended by — because how dare a woman not love him back, and even try to leave him? But I digress. She seemed to devolve from a determined young woman with potential, into a Damsel in Distress who survived danger by using Lucretius’ favor/male approval as a shield. That was disappointing, and saddening.

This series was also guilty of writing a strong/independent female lead who breaks down crying in the arms of the male love interest (not a friend or even parental figure), admitting their competence/courage has been a facade & that they’re tired of “pretending” to be strong. Oh, and it also used the

trope. Yikes.

That’s all the time i’ll waste on this. Would not recommend to any of my friends.

Not without its flaws but it's an interesting manhua. It tells the story of a korean girl that gets teleported to a middle ages european style setting where they speak korean? in any case not original in the least but its done quite well and her personality is interesting, at times. I find her a bit unrealistically cold and manipulative, court intrigue is not something that someone can just spontaneously become good at and she is very good at it.
In any case, it's a decent take on a cliched setting and it's not bad at all.
